Full-issue focus: How Covid-19 will affect the circular economy – just-published Ethical Corporation magazine

11.06.2020 Share

The increasing use of single-use plastics, face masks and other PPE has been a necessity in our global fight against the Covid-19 pandemic

Press Release

In our newly published Ethical Corporation magazine issue we devote the whole issue to look at how Covid-19 has, and will, affect the circular economy – looking at the impact of the pandemic on circularity in plastics, fashion, food and agriculture, e-waste and the automotive industry.

The increasing use of single-use plastics, face masks and other PPE has been a necessity in our global fight against the Covid-19 pandemic. But this increase in use of single-use plastics, coupled with oil prices being so low that it is twice as expensive to use recycled plastics, many are left concerned and unsure as to how the pandemic will impact our efforts to rid the natural environment of plastic waste and deliver a more circular society.

In our June magazine issue, we present the latest insights, ideas and case studies on how Covid-19 has, and will, impact the circular economy. From fashion industry facing mountains of unsold stock and hard-to-recycle household goods to the battle against e-waste and how cities are taking a revolutionary approach to food production, this issue will provide an overview of how Covid-19 will impact climate action.
